ECO LINE HF Induction Heating Power Supply by eldec

Mid-range in price, but packed with standard features, eldec’s ECO LINE HF (high frequency) induction power supplies are a good choice for many manufacturing scenarios. They’re powerful, yet compact, making them easy to move around the shop.

ECO LINE HF power supplies have a continuous power rating from 5 to 75 kW and frequency ranges from 60-400 kHZ. Numerous options, including single or multiple outputs, make it suitable as a stand-alone generator or for integration into larger production systems.

ECO LINE high frequency generator with customer-driven technology for efficient heating processes

This powerful, high frequency generator is reliable and has a low energy consumption rating (+90% efficiency).  The ECO LINE HF is built with standardized, high quality components that are rigorously tested and require very little maintenance. Precise control of power, current and temperature can be set by the operator to suit workpiece and manufacturing environmental conditions. This improves consistency of brazed or shrink-fit joints and ensure processes can be repeated with confidence. An intuitive control panel makes operation easy, and when setup with two outputs, the generator’s energy can be delivered simultaneously or separately.

Features of the ECO LINE HF induction heating generator

Multiple safety features are built right in. IGBT transistor technology means that ECO LINE HF generators are short and idle proof. Circuit topology with an output transformer ensures safety protection for the equipment as well as the operator.  Additional features include:

  • Automatic adaptation to resonance frequency and, thereby, inductor dimension
  • Discrete I/O control is standard.Control options include: Profibus/Profinet interface/Ethernet IP Interface
  • High-speed PLC with eldec control print: high clock pulse frequencies for extremely rapid control
  • Precise energy dosing (+/- 2%) => high process capability (reliability)
  • Inverter with modular design
  • Compact eldec transformers and throttles for optimum power density
  • Intuitive control panel
  • Hose bundles of up to 15 meters in length

Advantages:

  • High efficiency > 90%
  • Reliable and consistent heat for precise brazing, shrink fitting or joining
  • Compact design
  • Multiple safety features to protect the equipment and the operator
  • Widest frequency and power range and largest adaptation range on the market
  • Virtually maintenance free
  • Easy to integrate with automation

Configurations and options:

Although considered standard models, ECO LINE HF generators are available with numerous options and output configurations. Most power ratings are also available in the versions with two outputs for sequential heating or two outputs with simultaneous independent heating or simultaneous symmetrical heating. Multiple control options make them ideal for integration into larger systems, and the operator panel is designed for intuitive control.  Additional options include:

  • Supply voltage 200 V, 380 V, 400 V, 480 V, 560 V
  • Hose bundle up to 15 m long
  • Profibus, Profinet interface for external control
  • Coax winding changeover
  • Ground fault monitoring
  • Energy controller
  • Pyrometer temperature control
  • Temperature logger
  • Foot switch/pedal
  • Soldering gun
  • Current and voltage indicators
  • Cooling systems on request

Power supplies designed for a wide variety of applications:

High frequency generators are typically preferred when heat penetration is required to be kept at a minimum -- surface hardening, for example -- or when the wall thickness of the workpiece is small.  Here are some common examples:
