What information do you need from me in order to provide a quote for an induction heating system?
When starting the quoting process for a new induction power supply our technicians will ask a series of questions. Having the information ready will speed up the RFQ process. Key pieces of information requested for quotation would include:
- Part Geometry:
What are the size, shape and mass of your part? - Cycle Time:
How long does it takes to produce a single unit of your part from start to finish? - Volume:
How many parts per year or parts per 10 minutes do you produce? Are you manufacturing small lots of intricate parts or mass quantities of simpler parts? - Voltage:
What level of electrical voltage is used in your plant? Is it low, medium, high or ultra high? (An electrical service classification guide can be found here.) - Is cooling water available?
Do you have access to water above the dew point temperature readily available or will you need a chiller?
Providing this information as well sending a part drawing and a non-disclosure agreement (if necessary) when you make your request for quotation will help speed up the quoting process.
