Compact design makes PICO-S generator perfect for induction heating
Despite its compact design that is excellent for portable use, eldec’s PICO-S induction power supply distinguishes itself by its operational safety, high power density, outstanding process control and maximum flexibility in a diverse range of applications. The accurate control of power, current flow and therefore, the energy that is coupled into the workpiece, leads to optimal heating results as well as outstanding workpiece quality. Precise energy dosing (+/-2%) means processes are accurate and reproducible. The PICO-S is as energy efficient as its big brother, the PICO-L. Both are rated with over 90% efficiency. And, since operator safety and ease of use are also important, the PICO-S has an IGBT transistor that provides device protection from both short and open circuits and Plug & Play installation, which allows an easy start-up.
Features of the mobile PICO-S induction generator
The front of the generator features the easily and intuitively operated control panel and the Start Stop key. The high contrast display guarantees optimal legibility of the operating menu and the dynamic membrane keys guide and support the user step-by-step. It also allows the easy setting of parameters regardless of the application. The back of the induction generator features the logically laid out connections. In addition, the PICO-S contains interfaces for foot pedal control as well as those for an external control system and pyrometer. Connecting the hose assembly and inductor is simple. So is the connecting of the cooling water, which can be done using an optional, integral quick coupler. This ensures the quick, error free connection and disconnection of the generator, making handling easy.
Configurations & Options
The PICO-S is available in medium frequency ranges of 8-20 kHz or 16-40 kHz and high frequency ranges of 70-175 kHz or 140-350 kHz. Continuous, tap and timer mode, power, current and temperature control as well as program memory storage are standard.
